A custom website and admin panel for a Dallas childcare center

The challenge

K+3 Learning Center serves Dallas families with extended hours, open until 9 PM on weekdays and on Saturdays, and a program for every age, from infants to school age. The previous WordPress site didn't make that advantage clear and faced brute-force attempts every day.

The center needed a site that felt warm at first glance, explained its programs simply and turned visitors into booked tours. It also needed a secure place for the director to receive and answer tour requests, drop-in days, waiting list sign-ups and job applications, without relying on third-party form services.

The solution

We designed and built the site from scratch in Next.js 16 with a playful identity: expressive typography, illustrated badges, arched photos and the brand colors. The homepage opens with a live "open right now" status based on Dallas time and an interactive timeline where parents drag the sun across the day to see what is happening at the center at each hour.

Each program (infants, toddlers, preschool, Pre-K and school age) has its own page. The tour, drop-in, waiting list, careers and contact pages use forms with their own Prisma backend, with spam protection, per-IP rate limits, a confirmation email to the family and a notification to the team. Enrollment and the parent portal hand off to Brightwheel, the app the center already uses every day.

For the team we built an admin panel with search, CSV export, resume downloads and confirm or decline actions on tours and drop-ins that email the family. Access uses strong passwords, lockout after failed attempts, two-factor authentication and security headers.
